Situated near the railway station next to the parish church at the start of the High Street pedestrian area, this early 15th century pub, named after Wat Tyler the Peasant Revolt leader, was known as the Crown & Anchor until 1966. A narrow bar leads to a raised quieter area at the rear of the pub. Old Peculiar is available in bottles
Reopened before Easter 2026 after major repairs. No website, but the Facebook page is regularly updated by the pub so check there for current information.
