This charming 16th-century timbered-framed and white-walled country pub has recently reopened following major renovation.
Inside the rambling nature of the pub provides a great place to sit and have a drink. A restaurant is being developed and there'll be a private dining room, capable of seating around 10 people.
Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter and Fuller's London Pride are the regular ales. There are plans to offer a guest ale at the weekend and busier times.
Bar food is available with a full menu planned for June 2025, when the restaurant opens. On the menu there is home-made food, using locally sourced ingredients.
Occasional events include live music and a pubs quiz.
At the front there is a small patio area, while at the back there is a large enclosed garden, popular in summer in which the Kentish game of Bat & Trap is played.
Bed & Breakfast is available with five en-suite rooms.Historic England Entry: 1025843
