The last pub remaining in Yapton, this small C18th flint-built free house of character is hidden away from the village centre down a narrow lane ending in a pedestrian crossing over the railway, 1.2 miles east of Barnham station. The cosy lounge is often lively, with a woodburning stove in a large inglenook at one end, and a row of 6 handpumps dispensing up to 4 beers of which 2 are rotating and usually from small local breweries.
