Just up from Brighton Railway Station, this classic pub benefitted from late 2024 internal repainting and yet still maintains its warm Winter feel and traditional look. It has a long narrow drinking area next to the bar with traditional wooden tables which leads to a walled beer garden. More old wooden tables run down the other side and behind the bar. There are always 5 hand pumps available of which 1 will usually be Harvey’s Best and the other 4 rotating some classic beers. These hand pumps fit well with the clientele and traditional pub vibe. The food menu changes, but is currently focussed on pie and mash. June 2025 - recently reported that no food available until 3.00pm on a Friday. Best to check before visiting. Card payments come up on statements as "Bad girls hotel"
