The pub welcomes families, children, and dogs. Pub has had new landlords since the summer of 2024 and they have been renovating the pub over the last year - this has included updating the bar area, which has more of a Bistro feel about it rather than a traditional pub. The outside side seating area has also been up updated with the addition of heated shelters. They also have regular nights for quizzes and live music etc. The food menu is good and they offer breakfasts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Beer wise they typically have two cask beers on, rotating between- Sharps Doombar, Fullers London Pride and a guest ale. Planning permission was obtained in early 2025 for and an extension to the restaurant and this has yet to be started.
